Still with Singapore extended post. Yesterday we already talked about Fashion Show in Fairmont Singapore; It was quite crazy yesterday, so let’s have some fun today. Today we’ll make another culinary journey.
First, Stop “Supply and Demand”. It’s an “Italian South-east Asian” bistro located in Orchard Gateway, 277 Orchard Road #02-13/14 Singapore 238858.
They sold Italian and Asian inspired food from bites to pasta and pizza, like Pad Ga Prao Moo (Thai basil minced pork rice), Stir Fried Sambal Pork Belly, Zi Char Style Curry Chicken, Pork Sausage Platter, Chorizo E Rucola, etc. For drinks, they have: Coffee, Premium Tea, Beer, Cocktail and selection of Alcohol drinks.
This is our 3rd visit here. Sometimes I found “Where are we going to eat ?” is a difficult question to answer, either it’s because the places are expensive, crowded, or have an unpardonable food.
S&D serves reasonably good food with friendly prices and welcoming interior in Orchard. It also does not get too crowded. I still have some space to breathe and relax. That’s why I like to return to this place.
In this 3rd visit we decide to Order: The Morning After Pizza (18 SGD for 9 inch, 22 SGD for 13 inch), Malaysian spicy otak-otak Fingers (10SGD) , Molten Chocolate Cake (14 SGD), Curry Cremoso Penne (20 SGD, Full Plate),Spicy Pork Basil Spaghetti (16 SGD, Sample Plate), White Wine Clams-T Spaghetti (16 SGD, Sample Plate), S&D Italian Style Tiramisu (14 SGD) Cranberry & Pineapple Juice (7 SGD) and Iced Spiced Peach Tea (8 SGD).
Again it’s not only for me; I go here with three others people. The overall experience here is pretty great, Nice place, excellent service and perfectly balanced food.
Let’s head to our second stop “Jamie’s Italian”.
Located on 1 HarbourFront Walk, #01 165-167, Vivo City, Singapore. Jamie’s Italian is a restaurant that serves fantastic, rustic Italian dishes that inspired by Jamie’s passion for the Italian way of life. It’s an accessible and affordable, a neighbourhood restaurant with a great ambience where everyone is welcome and feels comfortable, no matter what the time of day.
In Jamie’s we ordered: Baked Mushrooms (12.50 SGD), Crispy Squid (12 SGD, Small Plate), Wild Mushroom & Smoked Mozzarella Risotto (26.50 SGD), Porcini Fettuccine (14 SGD, Small Plate), Rigatoni Pomodoro (12.50 SGD, Small Plate), Posh Chips (7.50 SGD), Choco Pavlova (11.50 SGD), Lemon Meringue Cheesecake (10.50 SGD) and Jug Italian Lemon (18 SGD).
It’s a little bit too much for me because I don’t eat that much, but we brought a little monster today, and she’s super hungry, so no need to worried. My overall experience here is great and satisfied; they had a nice food, good view, and excellent service.
From today’s culinary journey I could say that cooking isn’t just simply chopped or heat things. Cooking is an art; It’s not just about the recipe or the ingredients that we used but also about the soul which we put into that makes the food alive with rich, balanced personality, and appealing appearance.
That’s for today before I closed today’s post, here’s some tips for you:
- If you decide to go to S&D, I highly recommended their White Wine Clams-T Spaghetti, Curry Cremoso Penne (Both have a rich flavour) , Iced Spiced Peach Tea (This tea have a sparkly unique spice and refreshing peach flavor), and S&D Italian Style Tiramisu (Their tiramisu have a balanced flavor because It’s loaded with 2 kinds of liqueur).
- If you decide to go to Jamie’s, I highly recommended Baked Mushrooms, Crispy Squid, Wild Mushroom & Smoked Mozzarella Risotto (because this food have a crunchy, moist, creamy and refreshing flavor), Jug Italian Lemon (It has a perfect portion for shared drinks), and Lemon Meringue Cheesecake (because It have a nice balance of lemony and creamy cream cheese flavor).
- If by any chance, you are about to order water, don’t add
“mineral”words before “water”. If you do that the server will bring you Poseidon Mineral Water that Cost about 10 SGD. just politely ask “can I have water please” and they will gladly bring you a jug of water.
